ABOUT THE FOUNDRY
The Foundry at Valley Junction, an 1890’s railcar barn and iron Foundry, is reclaimed as a distillery, food + beverage hall, commissary kitchen, and place to connect!
Designed to create a one-of-a-kind experience, the Foundry is comprised of an eclectic mix of vendors and seeks to highlight the strength of the Greater Des Moines’ craft and maker culture. We hope to serve as a place that inspires creativity and collaboration within the community.
The Foundry is home to a unique blend of three vendors, each with it's own different story. These stories merge within the Foundry to create something special for our patrons. Discover each vendor's story by clicking the links below.

The Foundry’s greatest asset is the neighborhood it calls home. Historic Valley Junction is a vibrant gathering place that features a unique variety of shops, restaurants and art galleries. We’re committed to the long-term investment in the community and the economic growth of Historic West Des Moines. We pay homage to the hard work that the Historic Valley Junction Foundation and merchants along 5th Street have done to preserve and develop this dynamic community.
